Simmons Equipment Company announces three new hires to their organization.
Jeff Rector joins Simmons Equipment Company to serve as Engineering Manager responsible for managing the engineering team.
Rector brings thirty-three years of experience working in management related to the design and manufacturing of underground mining machinery from his prior work with Simmons-Rand, Long-Airdox, DBT, Bucyrus, and Caterpillar. Most recently, he worked as an industrial engineer with Utility Trailers. Rector has vast experience in managing engineering activities that covered multiple product lines for a team of up to twenty-five engineers and designers. Under his watch, Rector’s engineering teams introduced numerous new products including advanced continuous miners, shield haulers, and coal haulers. “Jeff brings a wealth of experience and expertise in leading world class design and engineering teams throughout his career. We are thrilled to have him join us as we continue to grow our product offerings,“ stated Simmons Equipment President Matt Simmons.
Jack Fleenor joins Simmons Equipment Company to serve as Sourcing Specialist responsible for procurement and supply chain management.
Fleenor brings over forty-eight years of working in the underground mining industry from his prior work with Lee-Norse, Ingersoll-Rand, Simmons-Rand, Long-Airdox, DBT, Bucyrus, and Caterpillar. During his extensive career, Fleenor has served as Plant Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, Project Manager, and Production Supervisor among other roles. He has made numerous customer and supplier connections from his varied responsibilities which have resulted in developing his unique skillset in the procurement of equipment parts as well as supply chain management. “We are excited to have Jack join us at Simmons Equipment Company. He has a broad range of experience and knowledge that will be a tremendous benefit to our customers,” said Matt Simmons.
Aaron Cunko joins Simmons Equipment Company to serve as Product Support Manager responsible for managing customer product relations.
Cunko brings over twenty years of experience in the heavy equipment industry from his prior work with DBT, Bucyrus, Caterpillar, and CB Mining. He has vast experience in different facets of the underground mining industry including troubleshooting and repair of continuous miners, continuous haulage systems, scoops, shield haulers, coal haulers, roof bolters, shields, AFC drives, and belt drives. Cunko has also developed and conducted product training seminars for customers and employees. Company President Matt Simmons stated, “Aaron is highly knowledgeable and skilled, but even more importantly, he is highly respected across the industry for his commitment to the customer. We look forward to him leading our growing Product Support and Service group to ensure the very best customer experience after the sale.”
